See The Rising of the Shield Hero Play in Action with No Audience

While all of the performances may have been postponed for The Rising of the Shield Hero stage play adaptation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the show must go on. You can see evidence of this in a new video that showcases an audience-free performance that was filmed on March 27 for the play’s upcoming Blu-ray and DVD releases.

Ken Ougida (Kakuriyo: Bed and Breakfast for Spirits plays) directs the play, which was supposed to have a run in Osaka from March 27-29, followed by Tokyo from April 2-12. Fans in Japan are still waiting for new dates, but for now you can see how the play looks at the COOL JAPAN PARK OSAKA TT Hall venue in the promotional video below.

The Blu-ray and DVD will hit shelves in Japan this September.
