Roger Craig Smith Will Still Voice Sonic the Hedgehog After All

yakuza producer

After Roger Craig Smith had voiced Sonic the Hedgehog for a decade, he and Sega announced earlier this year that he would no longer have the job.

This news wasn’t exactly thrilling to many fans, as they already knew Smith’s voice as Sonic from Team Sonic Racing, Sonic Forces, Sonic Colors, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, Sonic Free Riders, Sonic Generations, Sonic Lost World, and Sonic Spinball. And that’s not counting him playing Sonic in Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games, Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U / Nintendo 3DS, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Well, the original decision has changed. Details of why it changed haven’t been revealed, but Smith shared a sewn-up blue Sonic heart along with the news that he will continue to voice Sonic the Hedgehog in video games.
