Writer Izumi Okido’s light novel series Rekishi ni Nokoru Akujo ni Naru zo is officially getting an anime adaptation, and the creators got in on the excitement with some celebratory illustrations. The series follows a “nice girl” who finds herself reincarnated as a “bad girl,” but no matter how hard she tries to fulfill the role of villainess, people just seem to like her. Will she be able to become the villainess she was born to be and defy everyone’s expectations?
We’ll have to wait to find out the answer to that question, but in the meantime you can see celebratory art from original light novel illustrator Jyun Hayase and manga illustrator Akari Hoshi, respectively, below.
The Rekishi ni Nokoru Akujo ni Naru zo light novel series is published in Japan through Kadokawa’s B’s Log imprint, with the first volume touching down in December 2020. Over 850,000 copies of the novel and manga have been printed physically and sold digitally, and this marks the first series from the B’s Log imprint to get an anime adaptation.
Stay tuned for further details on those adaptation plans.
