The anime Rekishi ni Nokoru Akujo ni Naru zo (translated as I’ll Become a Villainess That Will Go Down in History) will arrive in October, and ahead of that an English-subtitled trailer has dropped.
The anime is being made at MAHO FILM, with Yuji Yanase of By the Grace of the Gods helming the project as director. The person writing the scripts is Sawako Hirabayashi, whose credits include Wolf Girl & Black Prince. The music is composed by Moe Hyūga, who is known for working on The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten. Credit for main character designa go to Yūko Watabe of Doctor Elise: The Royal Lady with the Lamp as well as Eri Kojima of I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss.
Looking toward the cast, Kanna Nakamura has been cast as Alicia Williams, and Kaito Ishikawa has been cast as Duke Seeker. You can check out both characters in this visual.

The franchise started out as a light novel series by Izumi Оkido. It has been quite popular, with more than 850,000 copies out in circulation, counting both physical and digital copies. It has not been licensed in English, though.
