The fifth episode of the Pokémon Evolutions web anime series went live this week, kicking off the second half of the stellar shorts. This one is all about Barry, the main rival of the Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl games, which is great timing considering the recent launch of the Nintendo Switch remakes, Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
Episode 5 features Shinobu Yoshioka (Black Rock Shooter) as storyboarder and director. Watch as the protagonist’s key rival tries to succeed on his own terms in the Sinnoh-based episode below.

Episode 6 of Pokémon Evolutions will move on to the Hoenn region for a story about Zinnia on December 9.
