The first character trailer and visual are here for Play It Cool, Guys, the upcoming TV anime adaptation of the manga by Kokone Nata. Chiaki Kon (Golden Time, The Way of the Househusband) is directing the show, with Makoto Uezu (KONOSUBA -God’s blessing on this wonderful world!) on series composition and Eri Taguchi (Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!) as character designer and chief animation director for the Studio Pierrot production, and you can meet Hayate Ichikura in the new preview below.
Hayate is voiced by Chiaki Kobayashi (Yuichi in Tomodachi Game), who joins other key cast members that include Koki Uchiyama (Izumi in Horimiya) as Shun Futami, Yuichiro Umehara (Courier in Akudama Drive) as Takayuki Mima and Shoya Chiba (Kiyotaka in Classroom of the Elite) as Soma Shiki.
The series is set to kick off in Japan this October.
Yen Press publishes the manga in English and describes it like so:
Enter: a group of cool guys who seem like they’ve got that unapproachable swag. But look closer and you’ll find a bunch of dorks who’ve gotten the act down pat. So sit back, grab some popcorn, and enjoy watching these clumsy dudes try to look cool all day, every day.
