Death Note creators Takeshi Obata and Tsugumi Ohba are heading back to TV in Japan with the anime adaptation of their Platinum End manga, which kicks off this fall. In the meantime, two more cast additions were revealed, bringing M.A.O. and Natsuki Hanae into the fold.
M.A.O. (Motoko in Fruits Basket) will voice Saki Hanakago, a god candidate and classmate of Mirai.
Natsuki Hanae (Tanjiro in Demon Slayer) will voice second-rank angel Revel, who assists Saki.
They join previously revealed cast members Miyu Irino as Mirai Kakehashi and Yui Ogura as Nasse.
Here’s a teaser promo from December:
Hideya Takahashi (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind) directs the anime, with Shinichi Inotsume (Hayate the Combat Butler) on scripts for the Signal.MD production. The original Platinum End manga ran from November 2015 to January 4, 2021, and it’s available in English via VIZ Media.
Synopsis:
