Onmyo Kaiten Re:Birth Verse is an upcoming original isekai fantasy anime with its sights on a July 2 premiere in Japan. While we wait, the official accounts shared a new character trailer and visual, offering a quick sample of what to expect from the Kaito Ishikawa-voiced Atsunaga.

Fujiko Sakuno is credited with the original story for Onmyo Kaiten Re:Birth Verse, which has Hideya Takahashi as director and original concept creator at anime studio david production. Other staff members include Hayashi Mori on series composition, Kazuaki Morita on character designs and Masahiro Tokuda on music.
The main cast includes:
- Taihi Kimura (Rengo Nishino in Flower and Asura) plays Narihira Takeru
- Maaya Uchida (Katarina Claes in My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!) plays Tsukimiya
- Ryohei Kimura (Arata Tsuruki in My Happy Marriage) plays Abeno Seimei
- Kaito Ishikawa (Tenya Iida in My Hero Academia) plays Astunaga
- Anna Nagase (Natsuko Hirose in ZENSHU) plays Yura
- Marina Inoue (Armin Arlelt in Attack on Titan) plays Kazura

Crunchyroll announced plans to stream the series as it airs and sums up the story:
Naruhira Takeru is a delinquent who often thinks about Tsukimiya, the girl who appears in his dreams. After an unexpected accident, Takeru finds himself in a parallel universe, and the world that Tsukimiya lives in.
When Takeru and Tsukimiya are slain by a monster, he awakens again and realizes he has leapt through time. Now, Takeru must train with Abe Seimei to fight for Tsukimiya’s life!
