Only One Manga is Beating All 15 Volumes of Jujutsu Kaisen in Japan

jujutsu kaisen anime

Mangaka Gege Akutami has reason to celebrate. Oricon released its rankings for the 50 top-selling manga in Japan for the time period of January 11-17, and Akutami’s Jujutsu Kaisen manga placed from second place to sixteenth. And since there are exactly 15 volumes of the manga out, that means they’re all selling very well.

In fact, volume fourteen sold 190,724 copies during the recorded week, and it’s sold 845,366 copies this month.

So who has the lone manga in the top 16 that isn’t by Gege Akutami? The answer is Hajime Isayama with his thirty-third volume of Attack on Titan. Even with how well Jujutsu Kaisen is doing, Attack on Titan nabbed first place in sales.
