Olympics, Paralympics Might Throw off Anime’s TV Schedule in Japan

iruma-kun season 2

The Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo might throw off Japan’s anime schedule on TV. NHK, the Japan Broadcasting Corporation, cautioned that these titles will probably be cancelled (meaning rescheduled) during their broadcasts from late July through September on the NHK E-TV channel: Love Live! Superstar!!; Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun; Butt Detective; WASIMO; Ojarumaru; Nintama Rantaro; Fushigi Dagashiya Zenitendo; Uchu Nanchara Kotetsu-kun; Major 2nd; and Motto! Majime ni Fumajime Kaiketsu Zorori.

After the Tokyo Olympics were supposed to take place last summer, their dates were changed to 2021. The Olympics are supposed to take place July 23-August 8, with the Paralympics then occurring August 24-September 5.
