NieR: Automata Game Inspires TV Anime Adaptation

The world of Square Enix and director Yoko Taro’s NieR is officially coming to the small screen. Well, a different small screen. Okay, the same screen but a different format. A NieR: Automata TV anime was revealed this morning, and while there aren’t any details at the moment, there is a teaser trailer and key visual featuring a sketch of protagonist 2B, as well as an official Twitter account.

NieR: Automata first launched on PlayStation 4 in Japan on February 23, 2017, followed by North America and Europe on March 7 and 10, respectively. PC and Xbox One versions followed, and the game has since sold over 5.5 million copies.
