September 18, 2020 The new Haruhi Suzumiya novel was first announced right at the end of August, followed by confirmation of plans for a simultaneous English release. The long-awaited 12th volume, The Intuition of Haruhi Suzumiya, is due out on November 25, and now we have our first look at the cover illustration featuring Haruhi and Tsuruya.
Author Nagaru Tanigawa and illustrator Noizi Ito’s Haruhi Suzumiya novels were adapted into the anime series The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya by Kyoto Animation in 2006. Here’s how Funimation describes it:
Kyon is a cynical and sarcastic teenager. The first day of his first year of high school is filled with hopes of a normal school experience hopes that are immediately dashed after meeting the beautiful and eccentric Haruhi Suzumiya. Haruhi is athletic, brilliant, and completely bored with life. At Kyon’s accidental suggestion, she decides to create her own club dedicated to finding and observing life’s oddities like the aliens, espers, and time travelers she believes walk among normal people.
