A new anime adaptation was announced for Tetsuo Hara and Buronson’s classic Fist of the North Star manga back in September 2023, and now it’s eyeing a premiere window. The new series is penciled in for a 2026 premiere.
We can look forward to a teaser trailer during next weekend’s Anime Expo, at which the anime’s producer will be in attendance during the Warner Bros. industry panel. There will also be main cast announcements, with all-new actors waiting to be revealed. For now, a new visual arrived along with the news:
The manga ran until 1988 and inspired multiple anime adaptations, including the first series that ran from 1984 to 1987 and a 1986 feature film. There’re also live-action adaptations, OVAs, video games, pachinko machines, musicals and more.
