Kenshiro Has Moves in Fist of the North Star Musical Trailer

Fist of the North Star

Typically known for his strength and stoicism, Fist of the North Star protagonist Kenshiro is looking a bit more limber in the latest preview of the upcoming musical. Following up on last month’s look at cast additions for the performance, a new video has debuted to show off some of Kenshiro’s mighty moves.

Yusuke Onuki is in the lead role of Kenshiro, and you can watch him bust out an interpretive dance below.

Daiki Kamoshita directed the video, which features music from Frank Wildhorn and depicts a moment from the last scene of the musical’s first act. Here’s what the star had to say about it:

“Whether you’re a fan of the original manga or not, you will definitely enjoy this musical! “What is justice, what is fate, what is love…? It may seem like a story on a grand scale, but I hope many people will watch it because it is a story with a message that resonates with each of us in this day and age. If you don’t watch it, you will definitely regret it! (laughs) We would appreciate your support!”

Musical Fist of the North Star will be performed at Tokyo’s Nissei Theater from December 8 to 29 before moving on to Osaka’s Umeda Art Theater January 8-9 and Aichi’s Aichi Art Hall January 15-16. A tour in China is up on the calendar after that in fall 2022.
