Netflix has a new original anime on the way in the form of Lady Napoleon, which comes from novelist and Bloody Monday manga writer Shin Kibayashi. The series is being directed by Noriaki Akitaya (Bakuman.), with ZERO-G on animation production, and it’s currently coming to the streaming service worldwide with a 13-episode run.
The release date will be announced at a later time. For now, we have the first production sketch above, showing main characters Butler, Sophie, and Guy. Sophie is a descendant of Napoleon who runs the Lady Napoleon organization. Together with Butler and Guy—who are a butler and a martial arts master, respectively—Sophie travels the world in search of Napoleon’s three sacred weapons.
