Metal Gear Solid Creator Signs Letter of Intent with Microsoft

Metal Gear Solid writer and director Hideo Kojima has signed a letter of intent with American company Microsoft to create a new Xbox game for them. VentureBeat, which covered the news, says that this means lawyers are still going over the smaller details but a general consensus has been reached.

VentureBeat also says few people are knowledgeable about what Kojima’s new game is, and that Microsoft is more interested in working with him in general than in a specific game story. It also notes that the agreement probably does not prevent Kojima from working with other video game companies, so he wouldn’t be tied exclusively to Microsoft.
