If you were hoping to catch the world’s greatest thief in the act, you’ll get your chance thanks to GKIDS. The distributor announced the acquisition of the North American rights to CG anime movie Lupin the 3rd: The First, with plans to bring it to theaters for subtitled and dubbed screenings at some point.
More details—including the dub cast—will be announced later. In the meantime, check out GKIDS’ synopsis and a Japanese trailer below.
The iconic “gentleman thief” returns in an action-packed adventure, as Lupin III and his colorful companions race to recover the Bresson Diary, before it falls into the hands of a dark cabal that will stop at nothing to resurrect the Third Reich.
