lupin the 3rd

This year is a big one for the Lupin the 3rd anime, which first took Monkey Punch’s manga to the small screen 50 years ago on October 24, 1971. With the actual broadcast anniversary approaching, Sentai Filmworks announced a special theatrical event that will bring the original debut episode of Lupin the 3rd PART 1 to theaters for a limited-time engagement along with the first two episodes of the new series, Lupin the 3rd PART 6.

The PART 1 showing will give fans the first look at Sentai’s brand-new English dub for the classic 1971 anime. Episodes 0 and 1 of PART 6 will be showcased in Japanese with English subtitles. The full PART 6 will also be simulcast via HIDIVE this October.

Those who want to check out these Lupin episodes in theaters can get tickets now ahead of the screenings, which are scheduled to run from October 22 to October 28 at select cinemas. Check out the list of theater locations and times to see if any will be playing near you.
