Nothing helps manga sales quite like a good anime adaptation, and that definitely holds true for the JUJUTSU KAISEN anime’s impact on Gege Akutami’s manga. According to Shueisha’s latest report, the manga’s circulation has risen roughly 650% since the anime premiered back in October 2020.

Shueisha’s report came along with news of a 2.15 million copy initial print run for the latest collection, volume 17, which ships in Japan on October 4. With that tallied in, the series will have 55 million copies in circulation, which includes print and digital copies, as well as those that have shipped and not sold yet.

When the JUJUTSU KAISEN anime started in October 2020, the manga had 8.5 million copies in circulation. That as up to 10 million by October 29, then 15 million on December 16, 20 million on January 13, 25 million on January 26, 30 million on February 9, 35 million on March 4, 40 million on March 31, and 45 million on April 21.

The manga launched in the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in March 2018, and VIZ Media publishes new chapters and volumes in English. Here’s the official synopsis:
