Live-Action One Piece Luffy Graces Shonen Jump CoverAfter years of speculation, the live-action adaptation of One Piece is finally on the way, set to hit the ‘flix in August. Now Iñaki Godoy is gracing the cover of Shonen Jump in Japan alongside his illustrated antecedent.

The issue hit newsstands in Japan Monday, July 24, and also included a poster of the live-action One Piece cast.

Previously, Iñaki Godoy also met up with Luffy voice actor Mayumi Tanaka in a heartwarming video. But will the live-action One Piece actually be any good? We’ll find out on August 31. In the meantime, you can check out the full trailer below.

Here’s how Viz describes the original manga by tonsilless master Eiichiro Oda:

As a child, Monkey D. Luffy was inspired to become a pirate by listening to the tales of the buccaneer “Red-Haired” Shanks. But his life changed when Luffy accidentally ate the Gum-Gum Devil Fruit and gained the power to stretch like rubber…at the cost of never being able to swim again! Years later, still vowing to become the king of the pirates, Luffy sets out on his adventure…one guy alone in a rowboat, in search of the legendary “One Piece,” said to be the greatest treasure in the world…
