Kyoto Hotel Offers Hello Kitty Room in Traditional Edo Period Structure

Last year the Tokyo hotel Asakusa Tobu Hotel created very pink Hello Kitty themed hotel rooms. Not wanting to be outdone, the Resi Stay hotel in Kyoto has created its own Hello Kitty room.

But the Hello Kitty hotel room in Kyoto is quite different. It is inspired by the machiya look, a type of Japanese wooden structure from the Edo Period. Uniting that with Hello Kitty really mixes up the old and the modern.

The price for staying here is about $190 a night. Is this a hotel room you’d like to spend the night in?
