In the wake of last year’s tragedy, it’s amazing to see Kyoto Animation on the rebound now. Hot on the heels of the Miss Kobayashi‘s Dragon Maid season two announcement, the studio also revealed plans for a completely new Free! anime film in 2021.

This isn’t the first we’ve heard of the new Free! movie, but it’s the first updated we’ve gotten since the project was planned to be lined up with the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, which were previously postponed. Additional details are light at the moment, but there’s a new teaser to whet everyone’s appetite for more swimmin’ boys.
