Kyoto Animation Announces Tsurune Film

Kyoto Animation has big news for its archery-themed Tsurune anime — they’re making a feature film.

The Japanese Twitter handle for the anime shared the announcement, along with a teaser trailer:

Meanwhile, their website tells us to stay tuned for more news.

Tsurune is about a high school archery club. The anime series first aired in Japan in 2018 and was ranked one of the best of the season, according to a Japanese survey. It was licensed and given an English dub by Sentai Filmworks. In America, it’s available both streaming and on Blu-ray.

While there isn’t a lot of information available about the movie yet, it seems like a good sign of Kyoto Animation getting back on its feet after the arson it suffered last year.
