Kazuo Umezu is the king of horror manga, the brilliant and twisted mind behind stuff like Orochi, Makoto-chan, Drifting Classroom, Cat Eyed Boy and much more.
Umezu hasn’t drawn a new manga in a while (26 years, to be exact), but that long drought is coming to an end soon. This weekend he announced that he’s been working on a new project for the last four years, and that it’s set to debut in January 2022.
ANN quotes Umezu as introducing the project like this: “It is an incredible work, and once you get your first glance at it you won’t be able to escape!!”
Sounds great!
