Katsucon: Funimation Acquires To

Funimation dished a couple of announcements fresh out of Katsucon this past weekend, one of them concerning the acquisition of To.

To is a sci-fi OVA directed by Fumihiko Sori. Sori’s previous animated work includes Appleseed (producer, 2004 film) and Vexille (director). He also directed the fantastic 2002 live-action film, Ping Pong.

The story for To comes from two space voyaging stories out of Yukinobu Hoshino’s manga, 2001 Nights. Funimation will be putting the OVA out on DVD and Blu-ray this summer.
