The story of the first JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure arc, Phantom Blood, is coming to life in a new way in Japan. A musical is on the way to the stage starting in February 2024, and the official website and social media accounts shared a peek at what’s in store in a series of costumed cast visuals.
In the lead are Yuya Matsushita and Shotaro Arisawa, who are double cast as Jonathan Joestar. Meanwhile, JoJo’s rival Dio is played by none other than voice acting superstar Mamoru Miyano. You can see them along with the other key cast members below.

The first performances will be held at Tokyo’s Imperial Theatre from February 6-28, 2024, followed by Hokkaido’s Sapporo Bunka Geijutsu Theatre hitaru from March 26-30 and Hyogo’s Hyogo Prefectural Art Culture Center KOBELCO Grand Hall from April 9-14. General pre-sale kicks off for Tokyo performances go live starting on November 25.
