Japanese Coffee Company Offers Godzilla Jacket Complete With Spikes

Godzilla jacketGodzilla: King of the Monsters is set to hit theaters worldwide this weekend, and Japan is celebrating its home-grown monster in a special way.

Boss Coffee, purveyor of fine canned coffees and friend to Tommy Lee Jones, is giving away a Godzilla-themed jacket that comes complete with the Big G’s dorsal spikes.

Only one—that’s right, one—lucky Boss drinker will receive the jacket. The winner will be chosen by lottery.

Aside from the awe-inspiring jacket, Boss also released a tribute video to Haruo Nakajima, the man who played Godzilla inside the original 220-pound suit. Nakajima, who played Godzilla from the original 1954 film to 1972’s Godzilla vs. Gigan was, well, a boss.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters hits theaters in Japan, the US and around the world May 31. Meanwhile, folks can apply for the Godzilla jacket giveaway until June 30.
