Godzilla Minus One Surpasses $100 Million WorldwideThe Big G is making some big bucks. Godzilla Minus One, the latest Godzilla film from Toho Studios, just surpassed $100 million in worldwide box office sales.

The film has made $55 million in Japan and $47 million abroad, on a budget said to be somewhere between $10 and $15 million. The film was directed by Takashi Yamazaki (Parasyte) and stars Ryunosuke Kamiki and Minami Hamabe. Aside from its box-office haul, the film was also nominated for Best Visual Effects at the 2024 Academy Awards.

A black-and-white version of the film was recently released in US theaters.

Deadline quoted director Yamazaki as saying: “I was very happy that the North American audience embraced Godzilla Minus One. And now I am very pleased to be able to release a black-and-white version for North America as well. Godzilla Minus One/Minus Color will bring a new and visceral experience to audiences.”

Godzilla Minus One is set to leave US theaters on February 1, according to Deadline.
