Hunter x Hunter Manga Returns With New Chapters October 23

hunter x hunter manga

As if the recent news of a new volume of Hunter x Hunter manga finally hitting shelves in November wasn’t enough, fans will soon have new chapters to read. Yoshihiro Togashi’s popular series is ready to return to the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump, and it will be doing so on October 24 in Japan, with a simulpub already lined up for VIZ Media’s English version of Shonen Jump on October 23.

This marks almost exactly four years since the Hunter x Hunter manga last went on hiatus back in November 2018.

Togashi recently touched further upon his poor health, and announced that he plans to increase his staff to help with production of future chapters.

VIZ Media publishes Hunter x Hunter in English and gave this description for the first volume:

“Gon might be a country boy, but he has high aspirations. Despite his Aunt Mito’s protests, Gon decides to follow in his father’s footsteps and become a legendary Hunter. The Hunter hopefuls begin their journey by storm-tossed ship, where Gon meets Leorio and Kurapika, the only other applicants who aren’t devastated by bouts of seasickness.

Having survived the terrors of the high seas, Gon and his companions now have to prove their worth in a variety of tests in order to find the elusive Exam Hall. And once they get there, will they ever leave alive…?”
