If you’ve been keeping up with this season’s To Your Eternity anime adaptation, there’s no way you skip past the OP theme by Hikaru Utada. If you can’t get the song out of your head, the official music video finally arrived this week. “PINK BLOOD” debuted on June 1, and as of this writing it has already managed to pull in over 1.3 million views on YouTube.
The music video was directed by Eiji Tanigawa of Creative Lab.TOKYO, and follows up on the success of Utada’s previous single, “One Last Kiss,” which was the main theme for the Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 THRICE UPON A TIME anime film. The director commented on the project, saying, “”I am proud to say that I have created a strong music video that is not affected by the times.”
