Get ready for a month-long party, because The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Lucky Star are celebrating their anniversaries together! Both are ringing in their 20th anniversary milestone, so Kadokawa announced an event that will put them in the spotlight throughout all of March.
The event is called “SOS☆Thanks Festival – Celebrating the 20th Anniversary! The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Lucky Star Thanks Festival that brings back fond memories of the original works~,” and you can see Haruhi and Konata enjoying the fun in the special visual above.
It’s a real “wanna feel old?” moment when series like these have been around for two decades. The event will run from March 9 to March 24, 2024 at Saitama’s Tokorozawa Sakura Town. Each day will see two new screenings held, complete with collaboration menus, new merchandise and more. There will also be special stage events—details still to be announced—on March 9, 16 and 23.
