Following up on the announcement that the first-ever spinoff novel for Satoru Noda’s Golden Kamuy anime would include a new OVA, three new cast members have been revealed for the special anime episode. The novel packs both The Lightning Thief and Viper Ogin OVA and the Shimaenaga mini-OVA, and you can see a brief teaser trailer and the new cast additions below.

As previously reported, the Blu-ray will specifically cover popular manga chapter “The Lightning Thief and Viper Ogin.” It will also include mini-episode “Shimaenaga” for a total of a roughly 30-minute runtime. Brains Base continues to animate with Shizutaka Sugahara directing.
The Golden Kamuy manga ended in April 2022, inspiring four seasons of anime, with a final arc in the works, as well as a live-action series and film.
