Golden Kamuy Manga Heads Toward Its Final Chapter

golden kamuy manga

The journey is almost over for Satoru Noda’s Golden Kamuy manga. The series has been running in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine since August 2014, and the author says it has hit its climax and will be entering the final chapter of the saga soon.

There’s currently no exact timing for the conclusion, so we don’t know how many chapters remain. Noda’s statement went on to thank fans for reading the manga for the past seven years.

VIZ Media publishes the Golden Kamuy manga in English and describes it:

In the early twentieth century, Russo-Japanese War veteran Saichi “Immortal” Sugimoto scratches out a meager existence during the postwar gold rush in the wilderness of Hokkaido. When he stumbles across a map to a fortune in hidden Ainu gold, he sets off on a treacherous quest to find it. But Sugimoto is not the only interested party, and everyone who knows about the gold will kill to possess it! Faced with the harsh conditions of the northern wilderness, ruthless criminals and rogue Japanese soldiers, Sugimoto will need all his skills and luck—and the help of an Ainu girl named Asirpa—to survive.
