FUUTO PI Brings Kamen Rider Action to Anime This August

More information has been revealed for FUUTO PI, an upcoming anime series that serves as a sequel to Kamen Rider W. Based on the manga written by Riku Sanjo and illustrated by Masaki Sato—with creative design by Katsuya Teradad, Ishimori Pro and Toei—the series is set to premiere this August and will be simulcast on Crunchyroll.

The anime’s theme song, “Tsumi to Batsu to Underground,” will be performed by Mitsuru Matsuoka, who is also a former live-action Kamen Rider actor. Big Gadgets featuring Aya Kamiki with TAKUYA is on the opening theme, “Private Eye.” 

The FUUTO PI anime is bring directed by Yosuke Kabashima, with Ayataka Tanemura as assistant director and Tatsuto Higuchi on series composition. Riku Sanjo is the script director, Hidekazu Ebina is character designer and chief animation director, Seiji Komatsubara is also chief animation director and Studio KAI is on animation production.

The story is canonically set after the events of Kamen Rider W (the 11th of the Heisei era), which aired in 2009. It follows private investigator Shotaro Hidari and the mysterious boy Philip, two strangers who become one Kamen Rider!
