FUNimation Gets Trigun, Details DBZ Kai Dub Cast

The first order of business here is fairly straight forward. As revealed at Katsucon this past weekend, FUNimation has acquired the rights to the 1998 series Trigun—based on Yasuhiro Nightow’s manga of the same name—from Flying Dog, Inc.

The series will once again be available on DVD in Fall 2010.

Also revealed this past weekend were details of the English voice cast for Dragon Ball Z Kai, a more tightly edited production of DBZ that stays closer to creator Akira Toriyama’s original creation.

Those hoping for more Kyle Hebert in narration might be disappointed, but new additions to the brawler’s cast include Colleen Clinkenbeard as Gohan, Monica Rial as Bulma, Doc Morgan as Narrator, and Brina Palencia as Chiaotzu and Puar.

Part One of Kai hits DVD and Blu-ray on May 18, 2010.
