by the grace of the gods

By the Grace of the Gods is an isekai light novel series written by Roy and illustrated by Ririnra, and it’s about to get the TV anime treatment. This particular adaptation has been revealed as a Funimation co-production, with the series setting its sights on a Fall 2020 premiere.

Takeyuki Yanase is directing the anime, with Kazeyuki Fudeyasu on series composition for the Maho Films production. The main cast member revealed thus far is Azusa Tadokoro, who voices protagonist Ryoma. Check out a teaser below.

J-Novel Club publishes the novels in English and sums up the story:

When 39-year-old Takebayashi Ryoma dies from blood loss (after sneezing and hitting his head on the ground), he is reincarnated as an 8-year-old boy in a fantasy world. Not the greatest way to bite the dust, but at least he reincarnates! Set on this path by three major gods, Ryoma begins to live a life of solitude in the forest, studying slimes. But if you’re a fan of isekai…you know life for him won’t be that simple.
