Way back in August of 2022, we learned that the final Haikyu!! anime (ever?!) would be a two-part film. Now we’ve got some details on the first of those films, including a title, logo and promo video.
Okay, the title and the logo are basically the same thing, aren’t they? Anyway, the title is:
Gekijoban Haikyu!! Gomisubeta no Kessen
Which means, wait for it…
Haikyu!! the Movie: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump
Nice.
Toho Animation is back to produce the films along with the team at Production I.G.
The official JP Twittex account for Haikyu!! says that film will depict the fated showdown between Karasuno High and Nekoma High, and that the film(s) will offer an “experience you can only get at a movie theater.” You can see the short preview video via the English Haikyu!! account below.
More information on this Garbage Dump of a final Haikyu!! movie is set to hit September 24.
