It’s been three years since the most recent Berserk manga volume hit stands, and now it’s finally time for the next. It’s a bittersweet release following the passing of manga author Kentarou Miura, but fans will still be excited to learn that volume 41 has been announced to ship on December 24 in Japan.

There will be both regular and special edition versions of the new Berserk manga volume, with the latter including a drama CD and some special canvas art Miura illustrated. That art will also be used as the key visual for the Berserk exhibition, which is scheduled to open in Tokyo’s Sunshine City this Friday.

The main cast from the anime are on board for the bonus drama CD, which will cover the “Awakening” chapter from the manga, which has yet to be adapted in other forms.

As previously reported, Berserk readers can also look forward to a new installment when chapter 364 debuts in the pages of Hakusensha’s Young Animal magazine this week, complete with a full-color opening page. It’s all part of a memorial issue for the late Miura, who was just 54 years old when he passed away on May 6.
