Final Fantasy VII Remake is DICE Awards’ RPG of the Year

The results of the Academy of Interactive Arts and Science’s DICE Awards 2021 were recently revealed, and Final Fantasy VII Remake was among the big winners. Square Enix’s action-RPG took home the RPG of the Year honors, with the award coming one year after its initial April 2020 release.

Some of the other notable winners include Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which won Family Game of the Year, and Mario Kart Live Home Circuit, which won Racing Game of the Year.

Ghost of Tsushima took home the Adventure Game category, and Hades swept a bunch of categories, including Action Game of the Year, Outstanding Achievement for an Independent Game, Outstanding Achievement in Game Design, Outstanding Achievement in Game Direction, and Game of the Year.
