Yesterday we posted about acclaimed director Masaaki Yuasa retiring from his anime studio, Science SARU. Yuasa co-founded the studio with producer Eunyoung Choi back in 2013, and now Choi is officially stepping up to the position of CEO.
According to Choi—who thanked Yuasa for all his work and leadership at Science SARU—Yuasa will still work for the studio in some capacity in the future. Yuasa recently finished Japan Sinks 2020, and his next work, Inu-Oh, is scheduled for a 2021 debut.
Following yuasa-san’s announcement, I’ll be taking over management responsibilities as Science SARU’s new CEO.
Yuasa-san will continue to work together for feature film “INU-OH,”. I can’t wait to share many of our new, exciting projects❤︎#ScienceSARU
