One of the many projects that was recently shaken up thanks to the Toei Animation website hack—which was revealed to be a ransomware attack—was the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero anime film. Prior to its delay, the feature was originally slated to open in Japanese theaters on April 22, with an international release to follow this summer. While plans are still up in the air for the latter, a new Japanese release date has finally been pinned down.

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is now set to open in Japan on June 11, 2022. You can see the date reflected in the new video below.

The film is written by none other than Akira Toriyama, and is directed by Tetsuro Kodama, who was the CG sequence director on Dragon Ball Super: Broly.
