The 20th Dragon Ball anime film has been a big success both commercially and critically since its premiere in Japan, and it just hit another milestone this week. The movie’s official Twitter account announced that the movie sold over a million tickets in just the first six days, which means it did so one day faster than 2015’s Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection ‘F.’
The total at the time of the announcement came to 1,011,595 admissions for a box office of 1,309,156,000 yen (about $11,769,312). Resurrection ‘F’ holds the current box office record for the franchise at 3.74 billion yen, but Broly certainly has time to give it a run for its money.
