Dr. STONE Spinoff Manga About Senku’s Father Launches Soon

Riichiro Inagaki and Boichi’s Dr. STONE manga has proven to be wildly popular, so it’s no surprise to see it branching off into new territory. A spinoff is about to launch in the pages of home magazine Weekly Shonen Jump, with the debut of Dr. STONE reboot: Byakuya scheduled to debut on October 28.

This one has Dr. STONE artist Boichi both writing and illustrating, with a story overseen by original manga author Riichiro Inagaki. He’ll only be tweaking dialogue and making sure characterization remains consistent, though, and says he will “pray for Boichi’s safety” during the spinoff’s run.

As for the subject matter, Byakuya will center on Senku Ishigami’s father.
