Legendary is keen to show just how confident it is in the upcoming Detective Pikachu movie, which brings Pokémon to the world of live-action Hollywood flicks on May 10. Despite the fact that we’re still months away from the premiere, The Hollywood Reporter reveals that a sequel is already in the works.
So far, there’s just a writer tapped to put the sequel to the page. That writer is Oren Uziel, whose résumé includes movies like 22 Jump Street, The Cloverfield Paradox, Men in Black: International, and another movie we’re insanely curious about, Sonic the Hedgehog.
If all goes according to plan, it looks like Legendary and Warner Bros. have a serious pika-pika franchise on their hands.
