Déjà Vu: Establishment Asks Thief to Return Stolen Demon Slayer Property

After 20 volumes of Demon Slayer were stolen from a bathhouse and the bathhouse was rewarded for its kind response by getting the original volumes back (plus at least 190 donations), we have a déjà vu story. This time the stolen object was a Demon Slayer figurine from Freegate, an otaku bar in Kochi City. Once again the establishment, rather than pressing charges over the Demon Slayer theft, is asking the thief to do the right thing by returning the stolen property.

Freegate tweeted:

According to Google translate, it says, “To the man who came the other day. Please return the figure of Sadako that was placed in the red circle to our shop. If it is not returned by the end of November, we will file a damage report with the police as a crime of theft with the image of the security camera in your face and hand.”

When the Demon Slayer manga was stolen, the bathhouse didn’t know who did it. But Freegate knows who took their figurine, and they’re still giving the person a chance. What do you think of all this?
