Date A Live IV Anime Delayed to Sometime in 2022

date a live iv

Date A Live IV was previously set to debut this October, but fans of the series are going to have to wait a little longer. The fourth season based on the light novel series by Koshi Tachibana has now been hit with a delay that pushes it back to sometime in 2022.

While we don’t know exactly when to expect it, we do have a new promo to tide us over in the meantime.

The cast members are all back for Date A Live IV, which is being directed by Jun Nakagawa (Date A Bullet), with Fumihiko Shimo (Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid) on series composition and Naoto Nakamura back as character designer and Go Sakabe returning to handle music for the GEEKTOYS production.

Crunchyroll streams the first three seasons and describes the series:

Ordinary high school boy Shido discovers a mysterious girl at ground zero of a recent spacequake. Shido learns, through his sister Kotori, that the girl is one of the Spirits: mystical creatures responsible for the spacequakes. Shido is recruited to help “seal” the sprits and end their threat to mankind. There’s just one catch: the only way to seal a spirit—is to make her fall in love with you.

Stay tuned for more as we wait to hear about where the new season will land.
