A Certain Scientific Railgun Season 3 Hits in January 2020

Last November, we heard word that A Certain Scientific Railgun season 3 would air in 2019.

Turns out creator Kazuma Kamachi was feeling a bit ambitious with that date. The series is now officially set for January 2020.

There’s some musical news, too. The opening theme song will be performed by fripSide, and the ending will be performed by Kishida Kyoudan & The Akeboshi Rockets.

The series will be directed by Tatsuyuki Nagai over at J.C. Staff.

Here’s how Crunchyroll described the first season:

Misaka’s electro-manipulation abilities—and delightfully destructive Railgun projectile move—make her a rock star in Academy City. The techno-metropolis is packed with supernaturally powered students known as espers, including Misaka’s flirty friend and roommate, Kuroko. In this city full of super-powered gangs, mad scientists, and monsters—there’s no shortage of action!
