Celebrate My Hero Academia Anime With a Live-Stream Launch Party

Featured Spotlight:

Kohei Horikoshi’s hit superhero manga My Hero Academia is getting ready to hit the screen in the hotly-anticipated anime adaptation from Studio BONES, and Funimation is your ticket for simulcast streaming. The series premieres on Sunday, April 3 at 5:00am ET, and you can build up to the excitement starting at 1:00am ET with

My Hero Academia follows Izuku Midoriya, a boy who knows a ton about superheroes but isn’t quite qualified to be one himself. His main problem is a relatively big one: He doesn’t have a Quirk, or superpower, of his own! That’s typically a pretty major requirement for being a superhero, but that’s not going to stop Midoriya. He still dreams of becoming a hero and entering U.A. High School, and with the help of the world’s greatest hero, All Might, he just might make it.

Beyond Izuku and All Might, My Hero Academia is positively loaded with superheroes. Quirks range from Katsuki Bakugō’s power of explosion to the super speed of Tenya Iida and beyond, so there’s no shortage of surprising super-heroic action to behold. The ultimate question, then, is who will come out at the head of the class in a school designed to cultivate the next generation of heroes?

In addition to watching the anime itself,

will offer fans the chance to chat live with hosts and special guests, including Justin Rojas and Lauren Moore. There will also be a post-show recap, and the opportunity to win some prizes through special My Hero Academia giveaways. Find out more information, including a video preview and a look at the anime’s cast, over at

and start training for April 3!
