Tite Kubo Plans Burn the Witch Manga Sequel

Are you digging Tite Kubo’s latest manga? You’re in luck: there’s a Burn the Witch manga “season 2” sequel on the way.

That’s the word from Shonen Jump, which just listed a “season 2” for the manga, said to be coming soon.

For those who haven’t been keeping up with this Burn the Witch stuff, here’s the skinny: the manga is written by Tite Kubo of Bleach fame, and actually set within the Bleach universe. It began life as a one-shot manga in 2018. Kubo then expanded that to a four-chapter serialization.

That serialization is set to hit Japanese bookstores in collected form October 2. That’s the same day that the Burn the Witch animated film is set to hit theaters and stream worldwide. The film is produced by Studio Colorido (Pokemon, Penguin Highway).

In English, you can read Burn the Witch on the Shonen Jump site and app. Here’s how Crunchyroll describes the upcoming film:

Historically 72% of all the deaths in London are related to dragons, fantastical beings invisible to the majority of the people. While unknown to most, some people have been standing up to these dragons. Only inhabitants of Reverse London who live in the hidden “reverse” side of London can see the dragons. Even then, only a selected few become qualified enough as witches or wizards to make direct contact with them. The protagonists of the story are witch duo Noel Niihashi and Ninny Spangcole. They are protection agents for Wing Bind (WB), an organization for dragon conservation and management. Their mission is to protect and manage the dragons within London on behalf of the people.

Who’s looking forward to the Burn the Witch manga “season 2” sequel?
