Tetsuya Imai’s sci-fi manga Break of Dawn—known in Japan as Bokura no Yoake—is getting the anime film treatment, and now we know when to expect it. According to the latest preview, the feature is officially set to open in theaters in Japan this October.
Also revealed in the short preview are the two main voice cast members, including Hana Sugisaki as protagonist Yuma Sawatari and Aoi Yuki as household robot Nanako. Check out the new teaser below.

Tomoyuki Kurokawa (Psychic Detective Yakumo) is directing the film, based on a screenplay by Dai Sato (Doraemon: Nobita’s Little Star Wars 2021) and character designs/chief animation direction by Takahiko Yoshida (Yowamushi Pedal), who adapts the original character and concept designs by pomodorosa (LISTENERS). Masaru Yokoyama (Fruits Basket) is on music for the ZERO-G (The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window) production.
